Care Certificate Standard 9: Mental Health Awareness e-Learning CPD
This online ‘Awareness of Mental Health Conditions’ content will deliver key knowledge to healthcare workers which can be used towards achieving the care certificate, this content can be taken as part of the Care Certificate: Full Package.
This Mental Health content should be completed by all healthcare and social care staff. This includes unpaid and voluntary staff working in NHS and private hospitals, locum doctors, locum allied health professionals, agency nurses and healthcare assistants. This online care certificate content is also relevant for health and social care support workers, including charities, nursing and residential home staff.
After completing this module learners will be able to;
- Understand the needs and experiences of people with mental health conditions
- Understand the importance of promoting positive health and wellbeing for an individual who may have a mental health condition
- Understand the adjustments which may be necessary in care delivery relating to an individual who may have a mental health condition
- Understand the meaning of mental capacity in relation to how care is provided
eLearning courses are designed to be interactive to help learners stay focused and engaged in the learning they are faced with.
The courses require the learner to perform small actions within the course, revealing further information, or quiz questions to help them reflect upon previous course content they have studied. A CPD certificate can be downloaded on completion.
