PMA Business Admin with embedded Cancer Care Level 3
PMA are delivering a bespoke Business Admin apprenticeship that is contextualized to the Patient Tracking List workforce and Cancer care navigator workforce.
This apprenticeship is for the non-clinical employees responsible for admin and coordination of patients with suspected and confirmed cancer.
Cancer Care Curriculum that will be covered includes:
- Working as part of and MDT
- Knowledge of different types of cancer and associated terminology
- Knowledge of Cancer Pathways
- Knowledge of waiting times targets and processes
- Diagnostic Procedures and associated terminology
- Basic Knowledge of anatomy/physiology
- Understanding Medical Terminology
- Ability to support the development of care plans and holistic care assessments
- Communication Skills; Sensitive delivery of information
Fees and Duration
The Course will cost £5K but with government funding there is a 5% co-contribution payable by the employer unless they have access to Levy funding.
The Course will last for 15 months including 3 months for EPA
End Point Assessment
The apprentice must be assessed by a minimum of 2 different assessments methods and the methods used will be the ones most relevant to the job. This testing will examine that the apprentice is capable of doing their job. After the EPA, the apprentice is graded by pass, merit or distinction. Clear grading descriptors set out the requirements for each grade.
A PMA Tutor / Assessor will be assigned to you throughout the duration of the course and will support you through your journey.
