A Warehousing and Storage apprenticeship is an ideal programme for those getting started in logistics operations. An apprenticeship in warehousing is designed to offer the fundamental skills needed to ensure you turn raw potential into successful members of staff.
Within your job role, you need to be able to show that you can carry out a range of work activities in a variety of contexts. Some of these activities will require you to carry out tasks whilst working as part of
a team. In addition, you need to show that you can take responsibility for your own work and work by
yourself when needed.
All Apprenticeship frameworks must contain the following components:
Principles of Knowledge
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
Knowledge of Employment Rights and Responsibilities
Maths, English & ICT Skills – Level 1
The Apprenticeship in Warehousing and Storage has mandatory and optional units. To achieve the Intermediate Apprenticeship you must achieve 2 mandatory units and several optional units to achieve
a minimum of 26 credits.

Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations
Process orders for customers in logistics operations
Assemble orders for dispatch in logistics operations
Pick goods in logistics operations
Place goods in storage in logistics operations
Wrap and pack goods in logistics operations
Keep work areas clean in logistics operations
Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing goods in logistics operations
Maintain the cleanliness of equipment in logistics operations
Use equipments to move goods in logistics operations
Moving and/or handling goods in logistics operations
Use a forklift side-loads in logistics operations
Use a compact crane in logistics operations
Use an industrial forklift truck in logistics operations
