If for any reason the course cannot be delivered face-to-face, we will take a flexible and responsive approach to keep people learning by delivering the training on the same day as a live interactive online session or transferring bookings to the next available dates.

Course overview

Explore the practical and emotional issues faced by lone workers and their managers, and build on good practice to increase safety and manage risk.

Using real scenarios, participants develop strategies and tools to support dynamic risk assessment; promoting personal safety, managing risks around allegations and protecting staff wellbeing to create a safer, healthier lone working environment.

To enable participants to explore the practical and emotional issues relating to lone working in a safe environment with opportunities to share and build on good practice

By the end of the session participants will have had opportunities to:

  • Discuss a range of lone working situations
  • Consider how and where to raise lone working issues
  • Think about practical solutions to areas of risk assessment
  • Consider how and why professional boundaries are important in lone working
  • Gain a basic understanding of stress management
