Screening for Dementia and Assessment within the Community

Delivery Method: Face-to-face The course will look at the broader picture and the importance of assessing other health needs amongst people affected by dementia and their families such as pain, infection, depression and illness.
Course content includes:
- the difference between normal and abnormal ageing
- how to recognise the possibility of dementia
- rarer forms of dementia
- how the use of neuro-psychology and scans can clarify the assessment picture
- how to make the best use of dementia screening and assessment tools
