A poorly set-up workstation set up can be hazardous to the individual and increase the risk of injuries and ill-health. This Display Screen Equipment (DSE) awareness training course aims to support employees to understand how to complete a DSE assessment of their work station and improve their working environment and comfort.
The course explores DSE regulations, best practice, the benefits of supported postures and ergonomic work stations. This will minimise the risk of potential health issues and improve comfort whilst at work. The course will focus on the following aspects:
1. Legislation, duties and types of workstation hazards - understanding the risks and responsibilities for Display Screen Equipment (DSE) at work.
2. DSE assessments - understanding how a DSE assessment can contribute to improving health and safety.
3. How to set up your workstation - understanding how to reduce and control risks when working at a DSE work station.
4. Supportive postures.
