What's covered on the day?

This session will give the learners the opportunity to develop the relevant knowledge and skills associated with administering medications rectally to service users. It will equip delegates with the essential understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the lower gastrointestinal tract as well as the procedure itself.

Assessment

Learners will complete a knowledge assessment at the end of the course to enable them to demonstrate their understanding of this procedure as well as the relevant anatomy and physiology. The delegates will have the opportunity to demonstrate the skill in simulation, before returning to their workplace to complete a self-assessment document and competency document.
