Health and Safety Awareness Course

What's covered on the day?

This session meets mandatory training requirements and contains the essential information for all staff attending. Presented in a fun and informative way designed to meet the needs of staff working in a range of settings to ensure participants have the essential knowledge to support health and safety practices as part of their roles. This not only ensures that people receiving care, but those delivering it, can be in a safe working environment.

Assessment

There will be a knowledge assessment at the end of this awareness course, allowing the learner to demonstrate their understanding of the subject. The learners will also be expected to participate in a number of group activities as well as discussions within the wider group.

• To gain an understanding of the basic aspects of health and safety
• Understand who is responsible for health and safety in the workplace
• Be able to differentiate between Risk, Harm, Accident and Hazard
• Highlight areas to gather further resources and guidance
