The Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship is ideally suited for those who carry out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks such as checking blood pressure, helping service users with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and washing and monitoring overall comfort and wellbeing. This will be under the direct or indirect supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. You may work in a range of services e.g., hospital, nursing or care home, assessment centre, school, prison, or GP surgery and will be working in partnership with individuals, families, carers, and other service providers.
