Successful administration of first aid can be the difference between life and death in an emergency situation. As such, first aid training highlights the importance of calm and decisive action whenever first aid is called for.
First aid training for the NHS also explains how and when to use first aid equipment, and the process for completing an accident report. Learners will be shown how to quickly assess the needs of an individual, and manage conditions such as shock, bleeding, and minor injuries. This extends to the provision of life support and CPR to individuals who are unconscious, choking, or breathing abnormally.
Our approved training resources include a range of face-to-face courses, but a variety of first aid eLearning materials are also available. These resources meet requirements for the appointment of a First Aid at Work practitioner, and are suitable for FAW annual refresher training. See below for a list of available courses.
