Sectors including schools, education providers, healthcare and prisons have a legal obligation to prevent radicalisation of their members taking place within or outside of their walls. Prevent Training, also known as Prevent Duty Training, Counter-Terrorism Training and Preventing Radicalisation courses, is there to get you and/or your team up to speed on the Prevent strategy, Channel and CONTEST and what they're responsibilities are as an individual to combat extremism.
Both in-house and online Prevent Training will generally cover the threat of extremism, what it is and how it is linked to terrorism, the processes of radicalisation and how it occurs, the UK government legislation, key vulnerability factors of high-risk individuals susceptible to radicalisation and how to support them.
Radicalisation can happen to both children and adults and it is our responsibility to safeguard both of them.
