I have been training and supporting travel health nurses and pharmacists for over ten years, as well as working directly in clinics around the UK as a specialist travel health adviser. The main focus of my work is on creating engaging learning experiences that simplify complicated subjects such as immunology and tropical diseases.

I’m a registered nurse in the UK and a full Member of the Resuscitation Council (UK). Initially practicing in Paediatrics I have gone on to work and study in Public Health, Tropical Diseases, Minor Injuries & Illnesses and Clinical Education. Having headed up the Clinical Education department of a leading UK provider of Immunisation & OH services my focus is on ensuring high quality training solutions.
Business Manager
I am an accomplished operational manager with over 22 years’ experience in the private healthcare sector. I am passionate about the delivery of clinical and customer service excellence and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. I have a keen eye for detail and will constantly look to improve process and efficiency. My main focus is on effective communication, building and maintaining strong client relationships and the day to management of the Health Academy business.
Kirsten Berry – Business Administrator
I have worked in business administration for over 18 years including 9 years in the travel industry and 9 years in the travel health and immunisation field where I began as the receptionist in a travel clinic before moving on to Clinical Administration Manager for a training team. I love being part of the friendly and dynamic team here at Health Academy and my work varies every day
Specialist Nurse Educator
Alys has over 10 years of travel health nursing experience working predominantly for Nomad as a Specialist Education Nurse and Lead Nurse in their travel clinics. She is also a qualified teacher and has worked as an adult education lecturer. The majority of Alys's work time is spent writing and delivering clinical training programmes including immunisation, phlebotomy and travel health. She also writes for a travel health journal and even finds time to be a mum to two young children.
Clinical Excellence Lead
I am a Registered General Nurse and have been training, managing, and supporting travel health and immunisation clinicians in clinics throughout the UK. In roles such as CQC Lead I have had extensive experience with compliance and maintaining clinical standards as well as supporting clinicians to meet regulations.
My Focus now is on developing and delivering high quality training courses and student placement programmes as well as supporting clinical training functions across the business.
